I was browsing Mayhem's discography and noticed before they released Deathcrush in 1987, Mayhem had only a handful of lo-fi demos released the year prior. In the documentary 'Until the Light Takes Us,' Fenriz of Darkthrone mentions Euronymous got Conrad Schnitzler of Tangerine Dream/Kluster to do the intro to Deathcrush.

Conrad ("Conny") Schnitzler (17 March 1937 – 4 August 2011) was a prolific German experimental musician associated with West Germany's 1970s krautrock movement. A co-founder of West Berlin's Zodiak Free Arts Lab, he was an early member of Tangerine Dream (1969–1970) and a founder of the band Kluster. The formation of Kluster can be referred to the activities of Conrad Schnitzler, one of Joseph Beuy's students at the Düsseldorf's Fine Arts Academy. Schnitzler was a key figure in the underground art scene in Berlin in the late 60's. He participated in the formation of the Zodiak Free Arts in 1968, with amongst others Hans Joachim Roedelius.
